Nestled in the heart of Uttarakhand, Dayara Bugyal is one of the most stunning high-altitude meadows in India. Sprawling like a green carpet at an altitude of 12,000 ft, it offers endless rolling grasslands, crystal-clear streams, and panoramic views of majestic peaks like Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag, and Srikanth. In summer, the meadows bloom with vibrant wildflowers, while in winter, a thick blanket of snow transforms it into a white wonderland. Whether it’s the serene campsites, the breathtaking Himalayan skyline, or the peaceful silence of nature, Dayara Bugyal is a trek that feels like stepping into paradise.

Itinerary

Day 2: Trek from Raithal to Gui Campsite
Trek Distance: 4 km | 4-5 hrs

After breakfast, we start our first trek through dense oak and rhododendron forests. The trail gradually opens into clearings with stunning mountain views. We reach Gui Campsite (9,500 ft) by afternoon, where evening tea, snacks, and a warm dinner await.

Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Raithal
Duration: 7-8 hours |
Drive Distance: 185 km

We begin our journey with a scenic drive along the Bhagirathi River, crossing Uttarkashi and picturesque villages. By evening, we reach Raithal (7,400 ft), the base for Dayara Bugyal Trek. Overnight stay in a cozy guesthouse/homestay with dinner.

Day 3: Gui to Dayara Bugyal Campsite
Trek Distance: 6 km | 5-6 hrs

Today’s trek is full of scenic beauty as we ascend through vast alpine meadows. The trail opens into the sprawling Dayara Bugyal (11,000 ft), offering panoramic views of Bandarpoonch, Srikanth, and Kala Nag. After exploring, we settle at our campsite amidst the meadows.

Day 4: Summit to Dayara Top (12,000 ft) & back to Gui
Trek Distance: 8 km round trip | 6–7 hrs

We start early to trek towards Dayara Top, the highest point of the meadow. The breathtaking 360° view of the Himalayan peaks will leave you spellbound. After packed lunch at the summit, we descend back to Gui for evening tea, snacks, and a campfire dinner.

Day 5: Trek from Gui to Raithal

Trek Distance: 4 km | 3 hrs Drive to Dehradun (185 km, 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, we trek back down to Raithal through the same enchanting forest trail. From Raithal, we drive back to Dehradun, marking the end of a memorable Himalayan journey filled with meadows, mountains, and memories.
